At The Table Read, we want to support emerging theatre voices through intimate readings, feedback, and a collaborative space to grow your work from the page to the stage. We are a fresh company and our goal is to take your project (in whatever stage it is at) and give you a cast, space and opportunity to hear it and possibly see it on its feet. We want to use our theatrical community to create opportunities for each other and uplift new writers together.

What types of works do you accept?
We welcome all early-stage musicals, plays, and collaborative projects from playwrights, composers, and lyricists. These projects are built for the stage and are in need of pre-performance production help.
How does the workshop process work?
Once selected, you'll be paired with professional actors for readings, feedback sessions, and the opportunity to develop your work further.
Is there a cost to participate?
Currently, our table reads are free of charge as we aim to support and uplift emerging theatre voices. We have add ons, including more rehearsal time in the space, photography/videography, pianists, etc. Please send us a message to request our services menu with a cost breakdown provided.
Where is The Table Read Co. located?
We rehearse at different rehearsal spaces around Midtown Manhattan. If you are out of the state, we have options to work over Zoom, but we prefer the cast to be in the same space. This is flexible depending on situation and goal outcome.
